There have been many lies and a lot of shady business by Trump and his crew surrounding the investigation into Russia's interference in our election. I hear more people on the right bringing up the collusion than people on the left. I don't think collusion was even part of the discussion during this hearing.

If Trump told Comey to back off an investigation that involved his administration then fired Comey for not backing off then that is getting close to obstruction. Trumps actions in any of the meetings with Comey, while perhaps inappropriate, were not illegal... When looking at the trail of events that ended in Comey's firing then there might be a case to be made. I doubt it will reach light unless more evidence turns up.

His testimony today will go a long way towards his credibility which is important in a "he said, he said" situation. Against a guy like Trump who consistently lies and manipulates and can't for the life of him admit he is ever at fault... It is a no brainer on who the more trustworthy of the two is.

Generally speaking you are correct but you have to consider the facts in this case. According to Comey Trump asked for loyalty and expressed his desire to see this investigation shut down, he consistently complimented Comey on the good job he was doing. Then after a senate hearing when it came to light that Comey was not dropping the investigation Trump fires him... thats is major grey area. This wasn't a normal investigation, it was involving Trumps campaign and directly effects him. Don't tell me you don't smell fish

Most of the evidence points to collusion. Trump, all of his minions and his family had connections, traveled to, carried money, laundered money and every single one of them lied. Trump himself announced possible/probable collusion from the stage during one his utterly un-American klan rallies. The trumps have said they have an ongoing relationship with Russia and then they've changed their stories.

My bet is that trump could have gotten away with all of this if he had not wanted the investigation into the pee tape stopped. In the end, being desperate to cover up that kink is what will bring him down.
