Can those who have NEVER served make SOME sacrifice for this great nation?

More reason we can't put conservatives in positions of power

Because they are correct and you're afraid the people will see it?

I enjoyed your post.....

It highlights what exists of your soul....or lack of one

"Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all."

Again Againsheila, your sob story is not the responsibility of the state. Furthermore, just because he's too big for you somehow means that you can't pay for the help you need to provide the proper care for your own son? You wanted to have children, you foot the bill sweetie. He's not our responsibility.

By the way - God forbid you take your parenting responsibility serious enough to start seriously lifting weights so that you can be strong enough to do what you need to do. Nope! Easier to sit on the couch and demand that strangers who did not bring him into the world be forced to care for him.

More reason we can't put conservatives in positions of power

The far left has destroyed many countries and have proven time and time again that they should never be in power.

The most prosperous countries in the world today are built on predominantly liberal policies. Conservative policies get you countries like Iran and Pakistan. You must be proud.

Proud, probably. But he has abso-fucking-lutely no idea what living in a real socialist country is like. He's just been taught to be afraid of anything socialist.

So I suggest he avoid national parks, crossing the Hoover Dam and entering public libraries.

We spend 19% of our national budget on our most critical need and our #1 Constitutional responsibility. We spend 62% of our federal budget ensuring that the poor remain poor so that Dumbocrats like Nancy Pelosi can remain in power and worth millions. What is wrong with this picture?

It's time we cut at minimum of 50% from entitlements. Those parasites need to lose 50% of their gravy train (food stamps, housing, healthcare). It's the least sacrifice they can make for America. Learn to live on less or learn to get up off of your ass and earn a living for yourself. Either one.

The way you presented your idea of cutting entitlements is going to piss off everybody, not just one party. Good luck with that.

You just summed up the problem with the United States. Everyone is afraid to tell the TRUTH because it might "piss off" someone.

I stand firmly in the truth. If someone doesn't like it, fuck 'em. I make no apologies for being honest.

I think you're honestly ignorant of the truth.

AS opposed to taxing everyone that has and does not have health insurance to make it unaffordable for all those poor people?

I really think that this country has to define what "poor" really is. When the poor is living at a certain annual income, regardless its source, I want to know their lifestyle. Particularly, their choice of footware, cell phones and data choice, ipods, number of televisions, computers, and choice of drugs. If I am subsidizing their lifestyle, I have every right to stick my nose into their business.

I know their children get free breakfasts and free lunch yet they get food stamps, or EBT cards as well. I think that is duplicative funding. I know the schools have federal funding ogf nurses where the children go instead of seeing a doctor quite often yet they have Medicaid. Again duplicate efforts.

I know schools hand out free coats and there is WIC. and on and on and on.

I know that when children go to special classes or have IEP's and are on assistance, they can get hundreds of dollars through SSI each month for each child. That is wrong!

So, I would just like to have the definition of "poor" examined and all of the perks included in the real annual income of each family.

Rottweiler is wrong, as usual. Nothing new here. Entitlement? Those in the military who have retirements, pensions, VA care, etc., are part of the "entitlements" against which Rottweiler is yelling.

Screw him.

I don't have any problem with anything like retirement or pensions that people put into. It's those that did not put anything into something that I have a problem with. Jake, I'm sure you have put into a pension or a retirement that you expect to receive when your time is due as well.

Not sure what the point of this thread is. I've never served and I don't get any kind of government assistance. I also give to charity.

Dunno what else to say I guess.

The point of the thread is that asshole Dumbocrats expect 18 year olds to have their heads blown off for the survival of the United States, but they are not willing to give up entitlements for the survival of the United States.

In other words, while they expect others to make sacrifices on their behalf, they are not willing to make any themselves. This has liberals really pissed off because there is no intelligent response to dispute a statement that is correct.

The problem is assholes (like you?) supported the invasion and occupation of Iraq, which had zero ability to threaten the survival of our county which cost the lives of a generation of Americans and disabled countless others, while depleting our treasury of funds needed to repair the aging infrastructure of our nation. A policy which would have created jobs far and wide at home.

The problem is assholes like you support the radicals in Congress which has done nothing to protect the survival of American Citizens in terms of their financial security, before or after retirement, who support 'slave' wages and keep the minimum wage at a minimum, refuse to extend unemployment insurance to those in need and even object the Children's Health Insurance Program.

The problem is greed has become a virtue in the minds of the callous conservatives, generally the set of sociopaths (people without empathy) who live by the motto of "I've got mine, fuck the rest of you".

Greed is exclusive to conservatives? Okie dokie

I notice no other conservatives on this board are rushing to your defense

How about it USMB conservatives? Is this your view of how the United States should treat its less fortunate?

He is your kid....your problem

Perhaps, but so far nobody on the left has left such a response, it took somebody from elsewhere off the spectrum.

Only the far left sees the US as an empire that must be dismantled.

Just read the postings on this board if you need proof of that.
If you are satisfied to buy into that, so be it. You might try to widen your information sources a bit and you will find references to the forces of DC referred to as an empire back into the 1800s by traditionalist/republican writers.

Another typical far left response.

More far left propaganda supported by a failed ideology.

Why not replace handouts with microloans and business or job training?
If students are expected to pay back govt loans, why not all welfare recipients?
And those who need the handouts go through nonprofit charities that give out food, clothing or help with housing if people CHOOSE or NEED to go that route.

But keep taxpayers' money accountable for by investing it in ways that pay back, not costs taxpayers more and more by feeding a vicious cycle of poverty.

RW: even the WELFARE recipients started unions to reform welfare because it was punishing the poor by encouraging dependency. You know that a system is corrupted by bureaucrats acting as poverty pimps when even the recipients rebel against the slave holders. Same with public housing, the tenants rebelled against being pimped and warehoused like chattel, set up reforms, and went against the bureaucrats only to be silenced and evicted in order to censor their reform movement to rid govt of abuses at taxpayers' expense. we need to align forced, not blame the victims of bad govt who are actually against the same corruption to make money off taxpayers where everyone else loses.

Buy 'em books, send 'em to school, and what do they do? They eat the books. Sonny you might pick one up some time and do a little reading of history. It is amazing what you might learn, if you have the capacity to do so.

Picking up books written by far left zealots on "empires" does not equate to "truth".

Being open minded is not a far left trait as exhibited by all the far left posters here.

Jefferson referred to the U.S as an "Empire of Liberty", and expanding the U.S (all over the North American continent) was a central tenet of Democratic-Republican ideology.

More proof that the far left does not understand the Constitution.

Awesome non-answer.

And yet more proof that the far left does not understand the Constitution.

And more proof that you people are literally parrots. You don't answer his question because you don't know how to respond so you respond with your parrot talking points, over and over again. And you wonder why everyone laughs at you.
