Serious question: our nation is so divided right now that nothing positive is getting done. We, the citizens, are suffering like never before and our media has become the propaganda arm or one side or the other.

Can our nation survive this or is the only solution some sort of revolution or secession making us into two distinct countries?

You're simply admitting that capitalism relies heavily on public funding to survive. Jobs don't rely on capitalists, because the government can very easily employ everyone who needs a job. Companies often create the conditions for war, in order to make money. They make sure the US always has a boogieman or enemy to worry about because that's how they turn a profit. Creating enemies for the US, by making sure the media demonizes another country, scaring Americans into thinking they need to spend more on defense.

When I was a 76-Yankee, Unit Supply Specialist in the US Army, back in the early 90s, we were paying $88 for a screwdriver that anyone could buy at Home Depot for less than ten bucks. That's the corruption that our government is subjected to under crony capitalism. Cronyism is endemic to capitalism and unavoidable.

If the rich have socialism, then the working class can have some socialism too. After all, it's the working class that risks life and limb in the workplace every day for their capitalist masters, so society should provide them with the infrastructure necessary to survive and thrive. Affordable housing, public transit, healthcare, education..etc. If the rich are going to get their subsidies and bailouts, the working class, are likewise going to get theirs.

capitalism works just fine without government money or influence. Those things destroy capitalism and create socialism, while eliminating individual freedom. and why? because the losers always resent the winners and capitalism has winners and losers, under socialism everyone is a loser except the very few who rule everyone else.

JFC man. We are not suffering "like never before." There is no vietnam. There are no civil rights demonstrations.... and church bombings. People were starving less than a hundred years ago.

We have two parties that didn't work for workers. Trump came along and captured the crown by saying lock her up, blaming groups of people ....

Like we havent seen that before. Even if he regains the crown, he will only have it for 4.
