According to the Herald, “Three men entered the residence with guns and a struggle took place with two men inside.” The two men inside the home managed to take away one of the guns and “several shots were fired as the suspects fled.” One of the suspects was shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Kyle Earl Munroe was arrested and “charged with attempted murder and a raft of firearms offences after helping fend off [the] home invaders, one of whom he’s now charged with shooting.”


The precise charges he faces are “attempted murder, intent to discharge a firearm, intent to discharge a firearm when being reckless, careless use of a firearm, improper storage of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing that possession is unauthorized, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.”

Public Prosecution Service spokeswoman Chris Hansen stresses, “Right now they’re just pending charges,” but the point is still clear. I have to ask....."is that charge...."possession for the purpose of trafficking," regarding the firearm he grabbed away from the suspect, or some substance that happened to be in his residence? The way it is written, it looks as if he is being charged for attempting to traffic in firearms, which is ludicrous.
The Canadian needs to move to a gun-friendly red state south of his border, show the local government why he was charged with the use of the firearm and they would probably allow him to purchase one here for self-defense.

these days the DA's, if offended by your crime, will stack everything on your ledger that they can, even if what you did was not a crime and then try to intimidate you into a plea.

If you reject the plea and go to court you face a huge sentence and the probability that the jury will toss a bone to the DA and convict you on at least one of the charges.

We need to repeal the unneeded gun 'control' laws.
