Veil debate becomes big issue in Canada election, putting Conservatives into lead
So here we have a woman - an observant Muslim - who insists on covering her face with a veil during her swearing-in ceremony as a Canadian citizen.
The people of Canada - most of them, anyway - find this overt rejection of Canadian culture and values to be repugnant. In effect, "If you want to be a Canadian citizen, then ACT LIKE A FUCKING CANADIAN!" seems to be the sentiment.
The people who want her to remove her veil will lose in the courts, of course, just as they would in the U.S., but that doesn't change the fact that we have the insidious phenomenon of what I call "subversive immigration": people who come to a country and have no intention of integrating into that country's society or culture, or adopting its values, and intend to become part of a sub-society of similar immigrants who set up a microcosm of the country they abandoned, in Canada (or wherever).
And this phenomenon is mainly manifested by Muslims moving to western countries.
If they want to live as Muslims and adopt Sharia Law, then why the fuck don't they move to a fucking Muslim country? Jesus Fucking Christ! There are dozens of them to choose from, all around the world! And don't let the door hit you in the ass as you leave! GTFO!
