Does capitalism, by definition (in any way!), promote any kind of dependable empathy/pity?

Dark Phoenix was in fact the mysterious harlot of Babylon and she had fiery red hair and energetic flames of devastating heat. Dark Phoenix was a siren and incredibly beautiful and obviously very dangerous. She was very upset about the media's seeming lack of interest in gender-meditation under TrumpUSA and the various sexual harassment claims arising in the celebrity-world (e.g., Harvey Weinstein). Dark Phoenix wanted to see a big-budget Hollywood (USA) film adaptation of the Amy Fisher story (a real-life tale of suburban adultery and near-murder which was well-publicized).
TRUMP: Capitalism is about commerce, not gender fantasies.
DARK PHOENIX: You've been subject to some sexual harassment allegations.
TRUMP: The media is demonizing me simply because I'm a commerce diplomat.
DARK PHOENIX: No, Americans appreciate Wall Street and Starbucks, not fat-cats.
