Only way to lose weight is to decrease caloric intake. There is no magic.

Or exercise. Or change your diet from processed foods, meats, and sugary drinks; to fruits, veggies, nuts, and water.

Heck, why not do both of those things instead of thinking that starving yourself is a smart option. You can lose quite a bit of weight without dropping your calorie intake at all. You just need to make sure those calories are nutrient rich and low in the bad fats and sugars. Couple that with exercise and you'll be lean and mean.
