I will admit that World War 2 and the military industrial complex fished off the Great Depression. However before 1939, FDR helped stop the downward spiral of the economy and stabalized it with Keynesian economics and many small extra programs such as the NRA.
False...
Keynsian Economics, hyper government regulation/taxation, protectionism... all vastly prolonged the Great Depression; but that's only fair since that is what started it...
The relaxed regulations and taxation which resulted from the urgency of the war, brought massive economic growth throughout and in the wake of the war and this DESPITE the progressive (fascist) policies of FDRs New Deal and the WPA... not due to it.
