I think climate change, much like abortion, should be treated as "choice". If you are pro climate change, that is your choice. If you choose not to participate in climate change directives such as reducing carbon footprints and oil consumption, those that choose not to participate should be free to do so.
There should be no mandates. Pro Lifers argue that a mandate to save a fetus is saving a life and is good for the population. Pro Choicers say that the fetus is a choice not a life and that such a mandate would infringe on an individual's right to choose.
Why can't that same logic apply to Climate Change? You can either opt in on climate change or not. It's the Pro Choice model.
