A 700-worker factory in northeastern Indiana facing closure doesn’t seem part of a deal President-elect Donald Trump struck with its parent company to keep hundreds of jobs at an Indianapolis plant.

The closing of the Huntington factory was announced the same day in February as the shuttering of the 1,400-worker Carrier plant in Indianapolis. Production from both United Technologies-owned plants was to be shifted to Mexico over the next few years.

Huntington plant worker Mike Harmon says Trump only talked during his campaign about the Indianapolis factory and he feels the Huntington employees were forgotten.

He saved 1200 jobs at Carrier. This is a different plant.

Trump's not in office yet...

... so It's Obama's labor participation rate...

... that keeps going down.

Trump shows off his 1000 jobs saved while his supporters doesnt see 1300 jobs leaving and not caring about Corporate Socialism. If that is hard to follow here it is in a visual.

And the southern rubes are waiting for the textile and underwear factories to come back

I think I get it now. Obama makes claims that he "created or saved" countless jobs while millions remain out of work, a claim that cannot be objectively verified, and that generates wild enthusiasm among the intellectually suspect. Trump makes a deal that actually saves 1,000 jobs (even before he takes office), and because some other jobs (fewer than the ones he saved) are lost, the intellectually suspect are upset. Looks an awful lot like some very selective outrage among the intellectually suspect.

Every time a factory closes over the next 4 years I'm starting a thread about it

Then don't give Trump any credit if he won't be responsible for Huntington as well.
At the end of the day, without his intervention there would have been 1,000 more jobs lost than there were. I still don't see any vast numbers of jobs Obama made deals to save before he was inaugurated.
