"No," said CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker, responding to a question about a demand from Trump that CNN donate $5 million to charity or face the chance the candidate might boycott the event. "We do not pay candidates to appear" on the network. Zucker made his comments at an event held by the Paley Center for Media, as part of a wide-ranging inteview with Ben Smith, editor in chief of digital outlet BuzzFeed.

CNN had previously declined to respond to the candidate's demand that CNN give $5 million to charities associated with U.S. military veterans.

I voted other. Why? Simple, Donald the Chump is starting to see that he has pissed off almost everyone (wanna talk about what he said to the Jewish people yesterday), and is now looking for a way out of the elections, without really showing that he wants to drop out.

He makes a stupid challenge that he knows he's never going to win (telling CNN to pay a charity 5 million if they want him to appear, having a much inflated idea of his value to them), as well as insulting the members of a Jewish group by making insensitive comments about their deal making and money loving.

He knows that the GOP is coming after him. He's trying to lay the groundwork so that when he finally drops out, he can blame CNN or the Jews for defaming him.

Me? I hope that when he drops out (as I know he's going to do), he loses not only the credibility that he tried to develop and then tarnished, but his fame and fortune as well and has to learn to be like the basic middle class.

I'm guessing if that happened, Donald the Chump would kill himself inside of a month.

He will show up. He was simply looking for more points in strong arming. He failed but can brush that off without to much trouble. Trump is not going to jeopardize his current lead by not showing up to the debates IMHO. He needs to retain the spotlight and not being there will give it to the other candidates. Right now he only maintains the lead because no one else has really managed to get the other 70% of the GOP to coalesces around them. If (read: when) that happens, Trump has little chance of taking the primary.

It would be a hoot for him to give them the 5 mil, then appear at the debate and state it for all to see that CNN is cheap and he doesn't need their money to appear so he did it himself. Hello Mr President Trump!
