When FDR took office, the crash had happened in 1928, and the Depths of the Great Depression, in 1932, were under way.
When Obama took office, the crash was still under way, and the Depths of the Great Depression, in 2010, had yet to happen. That would be less deep because of the Great Socialist Stimulus of 2009, which the Republicans opposed--noticing that the phony wars they had started were winding down--and needing another way to harm U. S. Nationals.
In adjusted dollars, anyone can see what FDR was up against, and what Obama prevented. Personal Income of 2010 is actually on a Great Socialist increase, thanks to the Great Sociallist Stimulus--which the Republicans opposed, as noted. No Republican anywhere, however, is reportedly sending any money to East Africa, to Haiti, or to other areas of need. Meg Whitman, running for California Governor, in fact is sending all of what she hast: To the advertising agencies!
No doubt the Republicans think that is what all these people were doing(?): Who likely had the more quaint concepts of East Africa, and Haiti.

The Great Recession is Not The Great Depression! Instead, there is a Great Socialist Movement in place, worldwide, and underway!
There are even buyers and sellers worldwide, which were not around: Even in the Great Depression(?)!
