It's startling to find out that a member of the House who sat on the committee investigating the occupant of the Oval Office for possible impeachable offenses also was in on the very conspiracy that was under investigation without declaring his office's involvement to the committee and recusing himself. I hope that the House Ethics Committee is on top of this. It is possible for a House member to be expelled. A thorough investigation is in order.
If this were a regular court of law the whole case would have been dismissed long ago. There is one witness. That is Sondmann and he is an exonerating witness.If any of this was in a regular court of law it would be a slam dunk.
The defendants would be buried under the mountains of evidence and witnesses. It would be just a matter of minutes to get the verdict of guilty.
The only reason why trump is still a free man is because of the DOJ's policy of not indicting the president which I think is ridiculous. That rule was developed when republican richard nixon was facing possible impeachment but resigned before it was completed.
