The term is “Democratic plantation,” and it’s used to describe blacks that vote for Democrats. That’s right. People are using a slavery reference to convince black Americans to withdraw their support for the Democratic Party.

Apparently, reminding blacks of the Democratic Party’s history of slavery and Jim Crow which occurred before many of us were born is supposed to be a persuasive argument. According to the right, the 90% of blacks who vote Democrat are on some figurative slave plantation picking metaphorical cotton while singing negro spirituals.

I’ll be blunt. This term is insulting, condescending, and ultimately not effective, and conservatives who use the term are not doing the movement any favors.

Making them up as quick and easy like drinking water is something humans do with no thought. To not expect Repubs to come up with any would be ignorant. But they lag the Progs in this. "Sayings" are not the realism, but they enter the periphery of truth many times. In affect, maybe they need to be adjusted. And would be boring if there was not any wow factor that is designed by the people involved. Perhaps they need to be minimalized. But they make something to write or spout about by people who would use them for their spoutings.

No, because both parties are complicit. A republican president ended reconstruction and republican justices wrote the opinion that ended the 1875 civil rights act, the majority opinion that created Jim Crow were by republicans. You can't admit that history.

Democrats have economically enslaved blacks for decades, keeping them poor and dependent on handouts. Trump freed them and showed them they can aspire to be more, do better.
