But Mitch met Harry yesterday for sure. Politics is hardball, folks, but in the end you have to have the votes. John and Mitt both did not get them. Harry got them in the Senate, and he finally slapped Mitch silly.

Guys, we need to work on governance from both sides, and that means giving as well as insisting.

President of the USA has the executive discretion to decide how best to implement existing laws and programs.

he can't make new laws and programs on his own but he can on his own decide how to best enforce them

You were shown where it was said that he could not, now you have voiced your OPINION without a shred of backing. Please present the evidence of what you say being true.

Just pretend the delays are due to de-funding in the House. That would be fine, right?

Freewill, the "shown" was some person's opinion not the law.

The president is the executive who administers the program.

After all your arguing, that's the end of it.

 You sound like Nixon and impoundment of funds.

Of course, you are right, and freewill absolutely wrong.

Whose earnings will be looted to pay for the previously un-insured? And by what right?

SCOTUS has already determined "by what right", Doubletap, and that's that.

Why, because you say so? Does the president really have right to negate the work of congress on a whim? Where does this majestic power originate?

Absolutely. Small Business supports the one year delay in costs and the downsizing of regulations. Only a very low-information voter would suggest they want to pay costs next year and full out even more paper work.

Challenge (anybody can PM him): Oddball, come out of the shadows to confront me, you coward. Obama's people administer the program, not you folks. Small Business supports the delay; to suggest otherwise is stupid.

The question is not about who supports the decision. That is utterly irrelevant. What matters is if he has the option to disregard law. I find the idea revolting.

What would you say if he arbitrarily decided to end the FDA? You actually think he has the right to do so? Hell no, that is not his right. He administers the programs BUT he is REQUIRED to administer them and follow the laws that he signed into place.

If he thinks the law is flawed then congress needs to amend the law.

You are not the decider about this. And the GOP House has begun proceedings to fall in line behind the pres.

Why don't you explain, o brilliant one, how those articles give the president carte blanche to ignore the will of congress.

I'm anxiously awaiting enlightenment.

When teaching one as you who does not understand, one begins with baby steps. Read the first two articles as I requested, because obviously no one is taking "carte blanche" with anything that you are talking about.

You mean like Reid compromised the last 3 years? Like that?
