Youth are more sedentary than ever and overweight , that takes a heavy toll. The shutdown because of COVID made it even worse , weakening already stressed individuals. Birth defects went from 6.2% in 2010 to 9.2% in 2019. So it's more or less a tidal wave of undesirable conditions culminating in the increase in deaths. Will it get better ? Not without a whole lot of education and a great change in lifestyles.
