You know some stories are just plain FUN! How many people will stay at Trump Hotel who can't get booze or a beer??

Save your keystrokes. Yes, many localities have rules about an applicants CHARACTER (nevertheless no charges, felonies, etc) which must be met in order to get and extend liquor licenses.

Staffers in the Trump White House largely find themselves estranged from the Washington, D.C. social scene.

No one will date them, and some restaurants won’t serve them.
The primary safe space for thirsty young Trumpers has been the hotel bar at the Trump Organization’s hotel inside the Old Post Office building at 1110 Pennsylvania Avenue, a few blocks from the White House.

Residents of the District of Columbia filed a complaint challenging President Donald Trump’s liquor license based on his “bad character,” reports Huffington Post.

Like a lot of states, Washington’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Board has provisions requiring that licensees not be criminals. A citizen complaint goes over the many things Trump has credibly been accused of, pointing to “Mr. Trump’s lack of good character.” The complaint points out that Trump has been accused of sexual assault and paid $25 million to settle claims of fraud against Trump University....

When all those high rolling visitors don't show up at that uber expensive hotel, willing to fork out those large amounts of dollars, all those taxes that go with it, will dry up in DC. A liberal will bite his/her/its nose off, just to spite their face. I know what the hotel is like, I went there a few times, took my family for a great time. Wont miss DC and their bullshit.

One never knows their motivation. He had problems GETTING the licenses for operation--don't know specifically about the liquor license. Remember his CHEF sued him. This thing has been a fiasco since the get go. He's already BREAKING THE LAW about ownership as a 'federal employee' with a FEDERAL PRIVATE CONTRACT. But of course his BOYS are actually the owners and operators--you believe that don't you?

I actually was there in the 80's when the Old Post Office building was going through another Renaissance and they had reopening. Gorgeous old building!

Ahh, so no more "presumption of innocence"? Goody!!

I hereby accuse you of pedophilia, selling drugs to minors, and littering.

Republican headline...Kavanaugh on the verge of confirmation to the Supreme Court.

Liberal headline...some busybodies made a frivolous complaint that isn't going anywhere.

Thanks for the laugh centerleftFL

I don't think this is going to go anywhere legally because Trump just licenses his name to most establishments. Further, when he was elected he relinquished all business dealings so he's not in control of handing out the booze anyway.
