Democracy is what?

"Democracy" was never intended to be some kind of relic in a vacuum. It is something that civic-minded people do collectively. When things work otherwise, it is no longer really democracy, it is a perversion.
There might be a better way to do things, something that hasn't been seen before, but given the lack of imagination we see in the world at this time, there is little hope for better. Dictatorship may be more efficient in certain ways, but historically there are no examples of its being better.

America has never been an “actual democracy” as in a “direct democracy” where everything the government does is voted on.

It has always been a representative democracy and a republicans hate that because it leaves them in the minority … powerless

No it's a representative republic with a mix of democracy.

Words mean things you should try to learn how to use them correctly.

Its shocking how so often the liberal left minority has been able to impose its will on the majority.

Of course having a partisanly weaponized MSM, DOJ, FBI, etc... helps.

Democracy is what?
What Rump tried to overturn when he summoned, incited and aimed an Insurrectionist mob against Congress on January 6, 2021, in support of his un-American and traitorous Big (Stolen 2020 Election) Lie... the antithesis of what the failed sociopathic modern-day Benedict Arnold and autocrat-wannabe Rump is all about. That.

And that you people don't realize that the US is a hybrid democratic/republic not a 100% pure democracy is just proof that you don't understand our own government.

In a 100% true democracy the minority would have no power at all and civil rights could be voted out of existence.
No one is saying we have a pure democracy nor do we want one
