This could have been handled much more expeditiously. That so many young, strong cops kept one guy on the ground so long is inexplicable. It calls for inquiry and debate. Protest may be justified. Rioting is not justified. Looting is simply theft and, so, of course not justified or justifiable. I cant think of any good reason to remove him from the car
There is much that is wrong in America and much that could be changed for the better. This particular "cause" is, quite honestly (and although important), far from the biggest, most important. Furthermore, the "much that is wrong" is not just in America, and not the most wrong here.
There is a pandemic, but it is much more virulent and deadly than covid. The looting is testimony to it; avid materialism. The looting that went on on the part of market manipulators and financial fiends is testimony to it. At these ends of the scales, the criminals that come from extreme poverty and the criminals that come from extreme wealth, there is much apparent difference, but not much qualitative.
