We all have fun with analogies, metaphors and comparisons...right?
If the DNC were the acting CEO of say Amazon...could they apply their policies, principles and ideals to the workings of the company without sending it straight down the shitter?

No.

Hard to say unless you are more specific re what DNC policies you are thinking of. A higher minimum wage wouldn't affect Amazon much other than eliminate a few lower entry level positions because they already pay good wages and include a pretty good benefits package. The main criticism of Amazon these days is that they are seriously hurting businesses who can't compete and they pay little or nothing in federal taxes, but the Democrats are unlikely to ruffle feathers too much there as a lot of them receive very nice contributions from Jeff Bezos for their PACs and campaigns. And now that he owns WAPO, he is even more valuable to get news out worded as THEY want it to be.

So unless you express some DNC policies other than the ones that specifically come to mind, I doubt those policies have much affect on Amazon at all.

Does any company actively recruit for and staff with the lowest grade employee they can find?
Do they reward their worse with shit taken from their best?
Do they incentivize poor work ethic and behavior?

Well when you put it like that, Amazon would not do well in those circumstances.

I am NOT an advocate for the DNC, deplore how most Democrats behave in government along with a LOT of demonstrated hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty. And among the citizenry, their instincts in who to support as leadership has at times been very questionable. I see much of their agenda as terrible policy for the nation.

But their policies have been great for big business like Amazon. But okay, Amazon wouldn't succeed if they ran their business like the Democrats currently seem to want to run the country.

Democrat policies have been absolutely terrific for big businesses like Amazon. The more the Democrats push their policies, the more big corporate America will benefit while more and more of the little guys will be pushed out of the system. That's why big corporate America mostly supports the Democratic Party much more than they support Republicans. They don't fear the Democrat's campaign mantras to raise taxes on corporate America. That will hurt their smaller competitors and they know they won't be paying them.
