Watch What Happens When BLM Protesters Bang on L.A. DA's Front Door at 5:30 a.m.—and a Gun Answers

Jackie Lacey is the Los Angeles County District Attorney and is up for re-election tomorrow, Super Tuesday.

Monday morning at about 5:30 a.m., a group from Black Lives Matter gathered on her front porch, banging a drum, and demanding an audience with her to discuss her refusal to prosecute police officers for shootings in the line of duty.

What they got in reply was an angry man, Lacey's husband, who pointed a semiautomatic pistol at the people who had trespassed on his porch. He told them he'd called the cops and ordered them to leave.

I'm sad that nobody ever bangs a drum at my front door at 5:30 AM. :crybaby:

"His response was in fear and now that he realizes what happened, he wanted for me to say to the protesters, the person he showed the gun to, that he was sorry, that he's profoundly sorry, that he meant no one any harm," Lacey told reporters.

"That it was just him and I in that house and we really didn't know what was about to happen. I too am sorry if anybody was harmed. It was never my intent to harm any protester. I just want to live in peace and do my job."

Good for him. The assholes are lucky none of them were shot.

ANNALS OF LEFTIST AUTOPHAGY: Watch What Happens When Black Lives Matters Protesters Bang on L.A. DA’s Front Door at 5:30 a.m.—and a Gun Answers.

Black Lives Matter, it may not surprise you to learn, is endorsing one of Lacey's opponents, George Gascón, who ruined San Francisco as district attorney and wants to do the same with LA.

Though Gascón has never been a prosecutor, he's all-in on no-money-bail-justice-reform and is responsible for authoring California's Proposition 47, which allows prisoners out early, reduces violent crimes to misdemeanors, and is believed to be a big contributor to California's wave of homelessness.

Lacey told reporters later that her husband confronted the protesters at the front door with his gun. She turned the matter over to another law enforcement agency to deal with the very real possibility that her husband would face charges.

How profoundly ironic. We're betting Black Lives Matter will have no trouble seeing Jackie Lacey's husband put behind bars.

So his original urge, to answer the door with a gun in hand, was overwhelmed in hindsight by a spineless caving in to political expediency by his wife. So what?

When confronted by a threat in your own home the use of precautionary self defense is absolutely legal and sensible.

Yeah, he's going to have a difficult time here. They didn't go into a fenced back yard, and even that I wouldn't think would justify brandishing a firearm and issuing a deadly threat. Especially with a cocked gun, and it looked to me like his finger on the trigger while pointing it at point blank range at more than one person. When the police view this, they are going to gasp, this is very dangerous gun handling.

While this was harassing behavior, no one was trying to force their way in. I saw nothing justifying confronting them with a firearm. If you or I did that, I expect that we would be relieved of our firearms by the local police department. With him being politically connected, who knows?

Well it is California so just by virtue of having a gun that might be a strike against this man though he is married to the DA
and has a plausible case for fearing criminal retribution of some sort.

Montana or Texas...no case at all. But in California? Who knows? It certainly can't be litigated here.

They're about disarming the general public, not the politburo.

We dont even know the gun was loaded. All i see is that the gun worked. Those BLM losers went away immediately. Hurray for the second Amendment!

This is something to consider as well....

If he did not have that gun, and the crowd decided that merely standing on his porch and screaming wasn't enough.....had they resorted to vandalism or actual violence? This is one of the major reasons we have guns........in Germany, after they registered guns in the 1920s, the national socialists used those registration lists in the 1930s to disarm their enemies....so when the brown shirts targeted someone for beatings, vandalism and murder, and the police stood buy and did nothing......no one was able to stop the attack.....that intimidation helped the socialists take power.....if you stood up to them, you were beaten or killed.....

In the U.S......they attack you, you can shoot them....

Makes politics more civil.

If I understand CA law correctly the threat has to imminent. And I see nothing supporting that. It is also my understanding that you do not deploy a firearm unless you have cause to use it. I don't see that he has cause. On the other hand, he is Black and politically connected, though unfortunately appears to be cis male. Any chance he is at least a cross dresser or willing to identify as one?

The Weimar Republic’s well-intentioned gun registry became a tool for evil committed by

The perennial gun-control debate in America did not begin here. The same arguments for and against were made in the 1920s in the chaos of Germany’s Weimar Republic, which opted for gun registration. Law-abiding persons complied with the law, but the Communists and Nazis committing acts of political violence did not.

How the Nazis Used Gun Control.

The Weimar Republic’s well-intentioned gun registry became a tool for evil.

In the chaos of Germany’s Weimar Republic they implemented gun registration. Law-abiding persons complied with the law, the Communists and Nazis committing acts of political violence did not.

In 1933, the National Socialists, led by Adolf Hitler, seized power and used the records to identify, disarm, and attack political opponents and Jews. Constitutional rights were suspended, and mass searches for and seizures of guns and dissident publications ensued. Police revoked gun licenses of Social Democrats and others who were not “politically reliable.”

During the five years of repression that followed, society was “cleansed” by the National Socialist regime. Undesirables were placed in camps where labor made them “free,” and normal rights of citizenship were taken from Jews. The Gestapo banned independent gun clubs and arrested their leaders. Gestapo counsel Werner Best issued a directive to the police forbidding issuance of firearm permits to Jews.

How the Nazis Used Gun Control | National Review

Socialists and National Socialists want to dominate society that requires disarming them. In our society We The People rule, which is why our natural right to lethal self-defense is guaranteed in our foundation document.

How is showing up at someone's door with several other unknown individuals at 5:30 in the morning and disrupting the peace by banging on a gun considered a "protest"? That's harassment.

And trespassing. Her office may be open to the public but her home is not.

Ordering them off his property is perfectly fine. Calling the police and having them cited for creating a public disturbance would fine too. He could also have the police cite them for trespassing if they refused to get off his property.

Correct, but I believe that is the basis for any claim for lethal self-defense, that whatever threat of violence or grevious bodily harm was levied that it had to be imminent, meaning occuring NOW.
