Democrats are mad that Barrett wont break THEIR BIDEN/GINSBURG RULE

A little history lesson to put all of this in context:

Democrats unfairly ripped Reagan SCOTUS nominee Robert Bork. Painted him as a racist and every other awful thing in the book. They asked him specific questions and he gave specific answers. As always, the Dems mischaracterized his answers.

Ted Kennedy claimed:

Robert Bork's America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley abortions, blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens' doors in midnight raids, schoolchildren could not be taught about evolution, writers and artists could be censored at the whim of the Government, and the doors of the Federal courts would be shut on the fingers of millions of citizens for whom the judiciary is—and is often the only—protector of the individual rights that are the heart of our democracy ... President Reagan is still our president. But he should not be able to reach out from the muck of Irangate, reach into the muck of Watergate and impose his reactionary vision of the Constitution on the Supreme Court and the next generation of Americans. No justice would be better than this injustice.


So....Republicans say...fine, when Clinton nominated Ginsburg, we are going to go after her just as hard.....BUT WAIT! BIDEN AND GINSBURG come up with the GINSBURG RULE...RBG wont give any specifics about any subject in which a case may eventually come to the court, so she was able to dodge hypotheticals.

SHE WAS STILL CONFIRMED 97-3.


NOW.....These same Dems want Barrett to break THEIR FUCKING RULE...and call her uncooperative for invoking the GINSBURG RULE. The irony is that Barrett is replacing Ginsburg.

you missed yesterday then. too bad. outstanding job she did. Blumenthal and Hirono. Especially Hirono, she was the one that got pissed about the rule. badger the witness they did. badger I tell you, badger. The young women sat there unafraid of the attack.

Even the whole paperwork thing from line item 12. They wanted her to include documents she had signed that weren't hers, even though that isn't part of line 12 requirement. Blumenthal must have said it five or six times in his fifteen minutes of nothing. Basically trying to make it out she can't follow instructions. it was hilarious.

It's really hard to imagine grown adults who can't get out of their own hypocritical ways.

Wow. Sounds very exciting. I suppose she held up just fine. Whenever I looked she did not seem rattled, where as Kavanaough looked like about to cry. Haven't seen any outraged reports or heard it being a big controversy. Maybe it was more serious to you than her. Had to vote and eat, shop and go close a pool, so missed all of it today. Hopefully I didn't miss much of the Washington reality show today. She's not getting voted off the island. It has been in the bag since they decided to ram it through, election or not.
