It was just easier to convert the Pagans if we didn't disrupt their usual patterns of celebrations.

And who got converted?
Now christians think egg hunts and Christmas trees are religious celebrations![]()
Not really.
But I'm sure you already knew that smart Christians can differentiate

I never understood what egg hunts and the Easter Bunny have to do with Easter anyway.
Pagan fertility symbols.
Because its a pagan holiday.
Because no one rose from the dead.
I'm not religious but when a dood rises from the dead, i think that should be celebrated!!!!
War on Easter? Schools, Cities Planning Another Round of ?Spring Egg Hunts? - Kyle Olson - [page]
Mar 21, 2013 In our increasingly politically-correct society, Christmas isnt the only holiday too hot to handle for school districts. Easter, another holiday rooted in Christian faith, is now being marginalized by governmental entities.
School districts and cities across America are holding Spring egg hunts and similar events, frequently omitting the word Easter from calendars and public announcements. Consider these:
On March 16th, Flat Rock Elementary School in Anderson, South Carolina is holding a Community Egg Hunt.
West Shore School District will be holding its PTO Egg Hunt on March 16th.
New Yorks East Meadow Schools will be holding its Spring Egg Hunt on March 19.
The Prospect Heights Public Library District in Illinois is holding its Spring Egg Hunt on March 26th.
Californias Manhattan Beach Unified School District has its Spring Egg Hunt in late March.
The City of Upland, California will hold its Spring Egg Hunt March 30
I'm not religious but when a dood rises from the dead, i think that should be celebrated!!!!

Your link said nothing at all about Democrats. Did it?
The looney Evangelicals managed to convince a few of their nut-case followers of the so-called "War on Christmas" we have to suffer through each year, and now they want to expand it to a "War on Easter" as well. I suppose next we'll see a "War on SAINT Patricks Day," or a "War on Palm Sunday," or a "War on The National Day of Prayer" or other such silliness.
Hell...who knows? Maybe they'll get all multicultural and start yelling about a "War on Ramadan" or a "War on Passover."
Naw....that ain't gonna happen, is it?
Because its a pagan holiday.
Because no one rose from the dead.
Hey big talk. Jesus Christ did. If you're so tough, let's see you do it!!

Apparently he can't count tho....Friday to Sunday.....NOT 3 days.
We should have summer fall and winter egg hunts too.
LMFAO! Complaining about taking Jesus out of egg hunts?
That is pathetic. Just too pathetic.

So 6 places are having "Spring" or "Community" egg hunts and that = a Democrat ban of the word Easter? What does it have to do with democrats? Overreact much?
If you want your kids to learn and understand religious traditions and beliefs, then teach them these things at home and take them to Church.
