The WOW (war on whites) continues. Why doesn't the govt force the NBA to hire more white basketball players?

Affirmative Action Gone Wild: Phoenix Recruits Minority Lifeguards Even If They Can?t Swim « Pat Dollard

Apr 3, 2013

In a staggering case of affirmative action gone wild, officials in a major U.S. city are actually recruiting minorities to be lifeguards at public pools even if they’re not good swimmers. It’s all in the name of diversity.

To diversify the lifeguard force, Phoenix will spend thousands of dollars to recruit minorities even if they’re not strong swimmers, according to an official quoted in a news report. Blacks, Latinos and Asians who may not necessarily qualify can still get hired, says the city official who adds that “we will work with you in your swimming abilities.”

There’s a good reason the city is hiring lifeguards that can’t swim. Public pools are largely used by Latino and African-American kids, but most of the lifeguards are white and this creates a huge problem. “The kids in the pool are all either Hispanic or black or whatever, and every lifeguard is white and we don’t like that,” says a Phoenix official quoted in the story. She added that “the kids don’t relate; there’s language issues.”

If america was sane we would be chasing the negros and hispos out of the country since most of them go on welfare. They are lazy and stupid and can't get a job without affirmative action.

Really?? I can't hardly believe that minorities would choose a minority who isn't a good swimmer over a white person who is a better swimmer...that fucking shit should not be entering the mind of a responsible parent.:cuckoo:

This is not about saving kids. It's about denying jobs to white people. That's all the hate-filled libulals care about.

Quit whining like a pussy fucking victim...I agree that it's a dumb ass move, but you have a douchey attitude.

Do they actually have black people applying for the jobs?

OK, let's get to the facts, and just the facts.

The City of Phoenix hasn't HIRED any of these kids. What it is doing is recruiting minority kids to enter a training program to become lifeguards. As part of the lifeguard training program, the minority kids are given lessons to improve and strengthen their swimming skills. You don't have to be a strong swimmer to enter this lifeguard training program, but you will have to be at the end of it, in order to be hired.

Passing the lifeguard certification test is no walk in the park. There is a reason why most lifeguards are competitive swimmers. The lifeguard certification test is the toughest test in swimming. It involves swimming distances in times which would win medals at many swim meets. If you don't make that time, you fail. I was both a competitive swimmer, and a lifeguard. Only a handful of kids on our swim team passed the test. Most of the girls and quite a few of the guys couldn't do it. Only the very top swimmers could meet the times.

All that the City of Phoenix is doing is giving kids from less affluent homes who can't afford the professional club level coaching, some professional club level coaching in swimming, in the hopes that some of them will become motivated enough and good enough to pass the most difficult course in swimming, and become lifeguards.

Nobody has hired ANY of these kids to this point. Once again, right-wing hysteria over nothing. Pat Dollard, who wrote the article quoted in the OP, has a long history of being a radical conservative, as well as a self-acknowledged drug addict and alcoholic.

So once again affirmative action and political correctness is compromising people's safety. Got it.

And if they can't pass the test, they lower the standards. We've been down this road before.

Affirmative action is just another excuse to replace hard work and dedication with mediocrity. What is most alarming is the part "the hope as expressed that some will become motivated enough and good enough to pass the most difficult course of swimming, and become a lifeguard". So we now have a new definition for motivation, by government proxy via mandate. Just how far are we as a nation willing to dumb down and lower the bar of expectations for tomorrows youth and leaders?

.

Yes yes yes, we all know what the media spin on this is. Fact remains, instead of hiring good swimmers to begin with, they're gonna grab a bunch of losers and spend tax dollars training them and then give them the job even if they can't meet the standards. Affirmative action always works that way,

Thanks.

I wondered what the REAL story was.

:eusa_angel:

The result will be that 2 lifeguards will have to be employed. One Affirmative Action lifeguard to please the politically correct crowd, and one REAL lifeguard to keep the swimmers safe.

Sounds like this racist website found a racist to anonymously confirm their racist beliefs.

The story is bullshit. But racists will the shit up and smile with their shit eating grins.

This is the real story, which all the racists on this thread are apparently refusing to read because it will spoil the racist hen party they are having.
