Where have the Democrats not defended our useless, obsolete constitution? Give us examples, thanks.
Actually, that's like people who try to claim there were no gay people in the 1950's... or black people were happy riding on the back of the bus.
Women were getting abortions, it's just nobody talked about it.
There were problems with Roe, but frankly, you have the same problem with Loving (allowing interracial marriages), Griswold (allowing birth control) or Lawrence (striking down sodomy laws). The right to privacy isn't spelled out in the constitution, but it should be a given in a free society. As you wingnuts like to say when you insist on your ability to own a small arsenal to make up for your short dicks, rights aren't given by the government or constitution, they are affirmed.
The thing about Roe is that when FIVE Republicans and two Democrats struck down the abortion laws, they were only striking down laws that were widely being ignored and not really being enforced. They probably didn't think they were doing anything more controversial then when Lawrence struck down all the laws preventing you from sticking your dick in places nature hadn't intended.
