Most of the cities that have pushed for police reform have found themselves running up against resistance from the FOP and PBA (The two main police officer's unions) which are largely Republican unions.
For instance, in IL, the Democrats recently passed a slew of reforms, including bail reform, mandetory police cameras, etc. Guess who screamed bloody murder?
The problem is the world doesn't work like that. Jobs are not good we can just dish out. Now if we could get black people into good schools and they didn't take dumbshit like black studies and did things like Sceince, math, IT, they could get good jobs. School Choice is a great way to do that, but the dems block it because the unions(and dems) would lose control and couldn't force black studies and other bullshit on them, so they strongly oppose it and it holds blacks down.And sadly, that's the problem. They got tired of the police plugging them.
For what we spend on prisons, we could give each and every poor black person a good paying job. We don't.
