Democrats Try to Duck the Consequences of Their Shutdown by Funding ONLY the Military

We know the Democrats are starting to feel major heat for their needless, irresponsible shutdown because they just tried to fund only the military during the shutdown. Gee, why didn't the Dems ask for that provision last night when they were blocking the funding bill? They only pulled this stunt today because they're taking huge heat for their shutdown. McConnell and the Republicans justifiably said NO to this attempt at ducking consequences! Dems, you don't get to duck the consequences of the shutdown that you just voted for last night! That ain't how it works.

You Dems filibustered the funding bill last night because you knew that it would pass on a straight up-or-down vote, and now you're trying to avoid the blowback for your reckless action. Again,why didn't you insist on funding only the military last night when you were blocking the funding bill? Hey? You only pulled this stunt today because you are taking huge heat over your reckless conduct.

Dems, if you had cared more about Americans than about illegal aliens, you would not have blocked the funding bill last night. You would have kept the government open and would not have caused this whole mess. DACA has nothing to do with the budget. Either stop this senseless, stupid shutdown and vote to fund the government or face the full consequences of your actions.

They have to walk a fine line between causing enough pain and avoiding the blame for causing it. I don't think their old playbook is working so well this time because "Schumer's Shutdown" caught on early and often. They're finally getting some blame for what they do.

I personally would like to see the shutdown "weaponized" even more. I would shut every Fed park, building, monument and the number of people I would call "essential" would be about 100 in the whole Federal workforce outside of the military. No mail, no ATC, no SS checks, no welfare checks, no meat inspection, no nothing.

Then let the outcry from the public make this stupid fuckers in DC do their job.
