There is never a justified reason for violence in a demonstration. Anyone who does resort to it needs to be punished and incarcerated.

The Trump rioters did their violence because of some made up nonsense about a stolen election.

The genesis of the BLM rioters did their violence because of a real life infringements on their rights as a people. As the riots went on though, clearly it was more or less rioting for the sake of rioting.... Outrage does last but your outrage doesn't get solved by busting into a Wal*Mart and looting merchandise.

None of the instances of violence can be justified. But one can be understood since there were real world grievances.
