Did Jesus die on the cross just so we can now eat a Ham sandwich ?

What is in Thomas that isn't in another book with much better exposition? The so-called 'book of Thomas' is mostly just a list. It's redundant, and also has little provenance behind it. Lots of writings didn't make the cut, but were still read and endorsed by Christians, like The Shepherd of Hermas.

Book of Thomas 1:1-3

(1) And he said, "Whoever finds the interpretation of these sayings will not experience
death."
(2) Jesus said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will
become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over
the All."
(3) Jesus said, "If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the
birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will
precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you
come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you
who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in
poverty and it is you who are that poverty."

According to Jesus people who proclaim themselves Christians in public are not going to inherit the kingdom of heaven.

You way over misinterpreted that one Jesus was talking about the pharesis and saudeses (spl) they were the ones always causing trouble /being hypocrites stonning people to death

I noticed the bible also says that you can't work on the sabbath, can't eat pork, can't eat shrimp,if a son is disobient and will not obey their parents are to be killed, the bible mentions slavery, the bible says that tattoos are a abomination onto the lord.

But really, no one ever follows those passages.

The Bible doesn't tell us that we can't work on the Sabbath or eat pork or shrimp.

It told an ancient, extinct culture that.

Yes, it's just a list of unconnected verses, not a 'book' with a narrative.
