Discrimination Is Now Legal In Mississippi

You can't be treated equal, if you're not

For some men and women being treated equal isn't good enough, they have to be special. And in their being special they think others should just toss away their values and beliefs to accommodate them, call me what ever, I say fuck'em.

Unfortunately, the has been fed the people today and we're are seeing it with these militant blacks, homosexuals, etc

this is going to come to a head soon I'm afraid...People are getting sick of it

Isn't that the entire leftist agenda? Freedom is only freedom if you do what they tell you to.

Do you understand how rights work?

Essentially you can do whatever you like as long as it doesn't hurt other people.

Now, if you want to stop gay people marrying, i'd ask, how do two gay people marrying harm you? The answer, clearly, is that it doesn't, in fact it's none of your business. So.....

.

Stop right there. You dont get it. First off, rights are not what you can do and not hurt people. I can stand up and say that Frigidweirdo is a dope smoking welfare cheat and as long as that's actually true I can say it all day long. I dont care if you're hurt by it. That might be my intention.
Second, how does it hurt gay people to have a baker refuse service? They can go somewhere else and someone will happily do the work. You would require someone to violate his conscience merely to convenience someone else. That is a bad trade.

Well...at least until it's declared unconsititutional.

The poorest state in the union with the highest teen pregnancy rate, worst education system, second highest murder rate, and second worst obesity rate in the United States. Glad to see their priorities in order, and THIS is all they're worried about?

Oy!

Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant (R) has signed into law a “religious liberty” bill that could be used to justify various forms of discrimination, including anti-LGBT discrimination. The bill, SB 2681, was approved by the legislature earlier this week after being a conference between the House and Senate. It differs from other state’s “Religious Freedom Restoration Acts” (RFRAs) because Mississippi law defines the word “person” to include businesses, and thus it applies to corporations instead of just private citizens exercising their religious beliefs.

The Family Research Council, an anti-LGBT hate group, took credit for its passage:
The victory was a huge one for FRC, who worked with local churches and conservative policy organizations to coordinate a pastors’ letter in support of the measures with more than 600 signatures. That, in turn, helped to bring along the business community — which, in Arizona, was so deceived by the media and outside leftist groups that it couldn’t distinguish what the bill actually did. Mississippi companies didn’t have that problem, because the state tuned out the propaganda and focused on the actual language.
Incidentally, Bryant will defend the legislation Thursday afternoon on FRC’s radio show hosted by Tony Perkins.

Thanks for proving those republicans in the Mississippi state legislature need to get to work helping their citizens instead of driving others away.

good gawd..stop it...you're not looking intelligent
sorry

I'm running out of time for tonight but wanted to address the bolded and underlined in your post because it so insanely stupid I couldn't sleep tonight leaving it hanging.

Bush actually needed a new enemy and somehow got a bunch of muslim assholes to fly airplanes into the WTC in order to get a new enemy he needed in less than a year in office.

Really? You can't be this stupid.

Seeing as this isn't what I said, then maybe it would have been stupid had I actually said this.

The right have often used a common enemy to unite the "free world". Communism worked from 1945 until 1990-91 time.

However Clinton was in office in the 1990s and Bush got elected, and he was actually playing around with the Chinese when 9/11 happened. It happened for reasons of US history from the end of WW2 more or less, their influence in Muslims countries, support for Israel, also being allied with the British who had done so much wrong in Muslim countries during the empire days (including making Israel).

Bush then set about using 9/11 for his own goals, or at least those of people who backed him. He used terms like al Qaeda a lot, even saying Saddam was connected with al Qaeda as an excuse to go to war, "the War on Terror" was also another one. Throughout his presidency from 9/11 onwards he made sure that Islam and Muslims were vilified enough. You can see the impact clearly. The BNP in the UK, Wilders in Holland and even in Austria with a very, very small Muslim community, these far right groups have moved from being anti-Semitic and anti-black to be more anti-Islam because it's easier for them to get support for this in the modern world because Bush basically laid a path for them to get there.

How many films used arabic music for evil before 9/11 and how many use it afterwards?

You can see what Obama has done since he became president. He's stopped always talking about Islam as bad, not directly, not indirectly.

Yes, you are sorry. That post was racist in tone. I responded pointing out it's not just blacks contributing to Mississippi's woes.

The fact that there are more poor blacks in Mississippi doesn't reflect upon them, it is indicative of the institutionalized racism of the state.

As I said, if the republicans in the Mississippi state legislature would get to work helping their citizens instead of driving others away it would be a better state.

California is the poorest state in the union...and if you could count illegals, I'm sure we have the highest teen pregnancy rate as well.

Can't be surprised this happened in Mississippi. A boycott wouldn't matter here, like the threat of one did with the Arizona bill, because it is a place nobody really cares about.

Remember when California voted against gay marriage?

Here is yet another issue that liberals get all whipped into a frenzy about, but could not possibly care less.

Do not get suckered into their cries and pouts. They do not care.

Poor gays cannot get married in Mississippi. Poor things.

According to to the Census Bureau, Mississippi is our poorest state. 22% of the population and 32% of the children live below the poverty line but it hasn't always been that way. Before the civil war, Mississippi was one of our wealthiest states so maybe Mississippians have reason to morn the death of slavery.

You know what is funny? The liberals think it is only whites that vote against gay marriage. I think they teach that each other too.

Sort of like how they teach each other Booooooosh lied about WMDs.

Sort of like they teach each other Booooosh was responsible for the real estate bubble bursting in 2008.

Sort of like how they teach don't each other that the unemployment rate was 4.6 percent the last time the Republicans had majority power.

Sort of like how they tell each other every bullshit thing to hold rallies about.

Sort of like how they cheered when the media gloated over the fake unemployment rate dropped to 7.8 percent. Even though that same media did not say shit about the 4.6 percent in 2006, but hey.....liberals do not care, nor did they know.

Sort of like how they teach each other Clinton was responsible for some surplus, even though republicans controlled the spending for at least 6 of his 8 years as president.

Sort of like how they do not hold Gore to account when he criticized the first Boooooosh for not "invading Baghdad" in 1992. Eh, what do they care?

This, like I said is yet another issue where they take something they pretend to care about and yell about.

Yawwwwwn

Nice way to spew some uneducated bigotry, there!

California is the 10th richest state in the nation.
