$1 Billion ($1,000,000,000) in construction jobs for a new complex.

2,000 jobs with an average income of $120,000, that's $240 Million ($240,000,000) in baseline economic activity. I say baseline because money circulates. The Disney employees get paid. They spend money in stores, retardants, gas stations, etc. - so the baseline pays for jobs by many more people.

That economic impact in central Florida just went "poof".

Florida also has no state income tax, has a low corporate tax rate of 5.5%, a low sales tax rate of 7%, and ranks #4 in the 10 best states that have good structure their tax systems.

The state just lost out on a billion dollars worth of construction and more than 2000 jobs of people making more than 100 grand each that would be spending that money in Florida.
