Agreed, but it also should be the doctor's choice whether or not to assist in ending someone's life.

Practicing euthanasia is a slippery slope that leads to more bad effects. A Catholic center in Belgium was planning to kill their mentally ill patients, with all sorts of "safeguards" of course. Pope Francis stepped in and said Stop:

Doctors already do euthanasia, like when they put someone in a coma when they are suffering too much, so the doctor helps the process along. They all do it.
