Do you ever listen to Sean Spicer's press briefings? I do. Time and time again I hear him speak in the first person. Hearing him do that, I consistently find myself wondering whether his words are indicative of what Trump thinks, believes and has concluded. It's really hard to know. In and of itself, that's not a big deal, unless, of course, one is interested in what the POTUS' policy thinking and direction is/will be and don't care much about what the press secretary's is.
As I've often said, I have far less a problem with Trump and what he might or might not do/think/say than I do with the inability to have the faintest idea of what to believe upon hearing him or his surrogates, appointees, etc. say, ostensibly on his behalf. Believability and trustworthiness is far and away the biggest failing of "all things Trump." Hearing Spicer deliver his briefings, that issue is not attenuated; it's exacerbated.
