the virus became known in December 2019 despite Chinese attempts to cover it up. Trump has been on this since early January with the flight restrictions which he got hammered for by YOUR side of the fence. Neither do I. Neither does anyone I know. However, we only have general knowledge about this virus and are just beginning to understand how it's transmitted. You and I could be carriers who exhibit no signs of the virus but still can infect other people. The only way you are going to know who is infected and who isn't is to test..everyone you can. Even then there is an incubation period. Either way, testing capability needs an exponential ramp up.

Being tested for the Chinese Wuhan Virus doesn't necessarily mean there will be enough medical facilities for everyone who tests positive. And besides, not everyone who tests positive is in danger of succumbing to it. Most people get over it with time.

Do you want to crash the healthcare industry or something? There's only a limited quantity of medical resources and those should be saved for the people who are worse off.

Just be glad that we're not living under a single-payer healthcare system right now, it would have already collapsed under the weight of too many people.
