This is a little beyond me, but it sure doesn't look good for us. I can in no way verify what the author says, yet he seems to have a handle on his subject.

I think his perspective is wrong from get go. He thinks Americans are diving the big SUV's because of visions of low gasoline prices. That assumption is ridiculous. They may STOP driving them if gas gets too high but America's passion for oversized vehicles is not driven by low oil prices. They are very convenient vehicles and give a false sense of safety. Not to mention the "Jones" just bought a new one.
