Corroborated, eye witness testimony from multiple first hand sources reveals................

1. Trump directed the OMB to put a hold on military aid to Ukraine.
Pentagon official testifies White House directed freeze on aid to Ukraine
2. Members of the U.S. diplomatic corps for Ukraine were told to work with Slimy Rudy to extract the announcement of an investigation in to the Biden's for Baby Donald's personal political benefit.
Testimony and texts: How the Trump-Ukraine allegations fit together in a timeline
3. Amb. Marie Yovanovitch was removed from her position after a smear campaign was launched against her because she was an obstacle to the Trump/Giuliani scheme to extort Ukraine.
Giuliani brags about forcing out Trump's Ukraine ambassador
4. The transcript of the Trump/Zelensky call, which was attempted to be hidden in a code level secret server, is documentary evidence of Trump's efforts to extort Ukraine.
AP FACT CHECK: Trump's flawed 'read the transcript' defense

Instead of making an intellectually defensible, if materially weak, argument Trump's crimes (withholding aid, soliciting foreign aid in an election, obstructing a congressional investigation) do not rise to the level of an impeachment violation, House Repubs willingly accept the warm embrace of the fantastical Trumpworld fairy tale in which Don is perfect and Dems are vile creatures. In so doing they turned reality upside down.

Democrats are the ones, Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) said, who committed a “stunning abuse of power.” Democrats are the ones, Rep. Tom Rice (R-S.C.) said, who “colluded with Russia and Ukraine.” Democrats are the ones, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said, who engaged in “the largest and most massive cover-up of such a list of crimes against our country.” Democrats are the ones, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said, who committed an “assault on the Constitution.” Democrats are the ones, Rep. Tim Walberg (R-Mich.) said, who are “interfering in America’s election.” Democrats are the ones, Rep. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) said, who “have dangerously shattered precedents.”

Does anything the Repubs said square with the factual evidence? No.

That's why Repubs don't want to talk about the factual evidence............other than to ridiculously claim it doesn't exist. It's why Mitch McTurtle wants nothing to do with, not only the evidence the House inquiry produced, but with the evidence it couldn't produce because of................obstruction.

I have to say, even though I knew it was coming, it was still shocking to see House Repubs blatantly and unrepentantly tell lies while completely distorting the truth to the viewing audience. It is disorienting to see objective reality mangled like that. It's difficult to know how to respond when someone looks at an apple and tells you with a straight face it's an elephant.

As much as anything the battle we as a country are engaged in is over truth. Trump wants to convince people it's okay to reject objective truth and believe his truth. That's the elephant in the room.

Orange man perfect? Despite the factual evidence to the contrary?

I appreciate the compliment. What I try to do is address Trumpette's factual inaccuracies head on with actual facts and then watch them try to spin their way out of facing them. It's amusing, frustrating, and an illustration of just how much trouble this nation is in.
