So yesterday I took a walk through the alien world of taxes. Apparently you can get these things called "tax refund receipts" where you get deductions from giving stuff away. I donated a few boxes of books and I now have about $200 in tax refund receipts. (Now I want to gather up piles of hardcover books to donate, lol.)

But anyways, taxes are a scary thing. The IRS is a seemingly mericless organization that can literally screw people.

Would you be willing to share any helpful information about tax deductions, schedules, etc? I hear you need to take care of them in January, and save all of your pay stubs and receipts. Is there anything else to this? I'm hoping to get a better understanding of how to survive in this financial jungle.
