DONE - GOING TO JAIL! -- Official: Some Clinton emails 'too damaging' to release'

I think this sums it up.

Start with the fact that neither Mr. Powell nor Ms. Rice set up a private email server to conduct government business. Mr. Powell did have a personal email account, but he purposely used a State-maintained classified computer system on his desk for classified communications. This may not have been “convenient” for him, to borrow an earlier Clinton explanation for her private server, but Mr. Powell understood the rules. And he understood them even prior to 2005 when State instituted clear rules warning against private email for official business. Mrs. Rice’s aides say she never used any email while at State.

While a few sensitive details may have leeched into a Powell or Rice-aide email account, these would have been accidental. By contrast, Mrs. Clinton intentionally created a private email account, on her own private server, precisely so she could keep those emails away from government public-disclosure rules.

Mr. Linik’s review turned up two messages sent to Mr. Powell’s account that State now deems sensitive (though Mr. Powell disputes that they should be classified). Mr. Linik found 10 that were sent to Ms. Rice’s State Department entourage over her entire tenure. By contrast, State has now deemed that more than 1,600 emails on Mrs. Clinton’s server are confidential—and there is another batch still to be released.

The federal government maintains several levels of classification, ranging from the lowest designations of “sensitive but unclassified” and “confidential” to code-word classifications for the most important secrets. While all such information must be safeguarded, lower-level “sensitive but unclassified” and “confidential” information is sometimes circulated on unclassified government systems. Mr. Powell points out that the two emails sent to him were first circulated on unclassified State Department systems and forwarded to his account by an assistant.

Many of Mrs. Clinton’s 1,600 classified emails also fall into these “sensitive” and “confidential” categories. But at least 22 emails have been identified as highly classified from their creation. This means that their information would have resided at all times on classified government systems until they were sent to Mrs. Clinton and her unclassified, unguarded private server. There is no evidence that anything remotely like that happened under Secretaries Powell or Rice.

This transfer question gets to the heart of Mrs. Clinton’s email negligence. Sen. Dianne Feinstein is defending Mrs. Clinton by claiming there is no evidence that any of these top secrets emails originated with Secretary Clinton. “It has never made sense to me that Secretary Clinton can be held responsible for email exchanges that originated with someone else,” the California Democrat says.

But Mrs. Clinton is responsible because she is the one who created the classification problem by doing official business on her private server. This would never have become an issue if she had followed the rules and used State Department email. That she set up her private email out of a self-serving desire to shield her communications from public disclosure makes her disregard for security a willful act that opens her to criminal liability.

Clinton’s False Email Equivalence
Take just the first paragraph in this article that is incorrect,

The State maintained gov't email system that the other Secretary of State used, the State.gov email system, this .gov email set up was and still is, an UNCLASSIFIED email system, NOT in any way, shape, or form, the email system or server, for CLASSIFIED information.

So, even if she had this gov't email as Powell and Rice, this was the gvts UNCLASSIFIED, .gov server, and the emails on her server that are now being classified, would not have been more secure, or on the gvts CLASSIFIED server... they would have been on the gvts UNCLASSIFIED system...

The gvts CLASSIFIED system, is a totally separate system, in a separate room, with individual and different user IDs, with no capabilities to even access the internet or even the .gov email system.

Hillary did have access, and gov't protection, for this CLASSIFIED top SECRET system.

So just the first paragraph of this article is incorrect and deceiving....

Leaves readers with the wrong impression from the get go.

Hillary misleading about email probe during debate, former FBI agents say

In the New Hampshire debate with Senator Bernie Sanders, which aired on MSNBC, Clinton told moderator Chuck Todd that nothing would come of the FBI probe, “I am 100 percent confident. This is a security review that was requested. It is being carried out.”

Not true says Steve Pomerantz, who spent 28 years at the FBI, and rose from field investigative special agent to the rank of assistant director, the third highest position in the Bureau.

“They (the FBI) do not do security reviews,” Pomerantz said. “What they primarily do and what they are clearly doing in this instance is a criminal investigation.”

Pomerantz emphasized to Fox News, “There is no mechanism for her to be briefed and to have information about the conduct, the substance, the direction or the result of any FBI investigation.”

Some Hillary Bitch lies:

"That is what they offered me".

"It was a spontaneous demonstration because of an Internet video".

"The FBI is only conducting a security review".

"I was under fire in Bosnia".

"I only used the home sever for my daughter's wedding, mother funeral and yoga classes".

"I never had classified documents on my personal emails".

"We were dead broke when we left the White House".

"Bill didn't have sex with that Lewinsky woman".

Clinton’s False Email Equivalence
Second paragraph in this OPINION piece, complete utter bull crud and merely a partisan creation, a figment of imagination. She, and others that worked in the state dept to arrange her email server set up and have had their email chain released on the FOIA CLEARLY SHOWS that it was set up and requested for the reasons she told the public when questioned about it.... a ditzy blonde decision, yes....

And she has said it was a mistake, in hindsight, but she and the other state dept employees seemed quite ignorant on the topic of email accounts and how they work.

AND she did not in any way plan this to hide gvt information as the operation once again implies....that's just bull crud, she turned over all gvt emails when the State dept requested them, but did not turn over her personal/ Clinton foundation emails.

It was federal regulation, and still is federal regulation for all gov't employees to delete and not send to the gvt archives, any personal emails.

Hillary followed the rules and did NOT SEND to the State Archives her personal emails. She followed the regulation on this.

SHE did turn over her server to the FBI back in Aug, which WAS NOT WIPED CLEAN of anything, and ALL Emails ever sent, all work ever done on it, was there on it and easily recovered by them.

So her Clinton foundation and personal emails and every thing she ever worked on as Secretary of State has been in the gvts hands since August 2015....she had no problem turning over her server once an IG believed there could be top secret info on it, so the FBI got it from her to secure it.

You believe she is honest and has the best interests of the country at heart?

Are you certain of all of this? She is allowed to go thru and turn over only what she deems govt? Trust her? no verification, no double check? That is why they have gov accounts, all is captured in/out.
Why? Because she says so?

The FBI is not just investigating "someone". They are investigating Hillary Clinton.

They are investing that she may have mishandled sensitive national security information and that is very serious and is a crime.

According to the reports they have widen their investigation to look into her using her government position to sell influence to foreign countries.

so in short, they can't prove what they are investigating, and ONCE AGAIN, they are trying to find her guilty of something, dammit!!!

You know, kind of how an investigation about a land deal that failed became an investigation about whether Bill Clinton thinks a Blow Job is sex or not.

In the previous years she was accused of other things like incompetence and lying about Benghazi but not these crimes.

Yes it seems like you guys are always investigating her and always coming up with... nothing.

Seriously who is your political strategist, Wile E. Coyote?

Former Sec. of State Colin Powell is standing with Hillary Clinton after the State Department retroactively classified some of his emails and is refusing to release them to the public.

Powell reacted to an NBC News report that the State Department is retroactively classifying his emails by calling for all of his emails to be released.

Powell said, “I wish they would release them, so that a normal, air-breathing mammal would look at them and say, ‘What’s the issue?’ They were unclassified at the time, and they are, in my judgment, still unclassified.”

Clinton Email Scandal Falls Apart As State Dept. Says There Was No Policy Against Private Email | Politicus USA,

The U.S. State Department says, "There was no policy prohibiting the use of the use of a private email account here at the State Department."

Both Former Secretary of State Colin Powell and Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice used private email account during their tenure at the State Department.

Yes it seems like you guys are always investigating her and always coming up with... nothing.

"WE" are not investigating anything. The FBI (govt agency) impounded server. I believe this all started after they found Bloomenthal hack was investigated. Her correspondence found mingled in his stuff? Why would they care if Bloomenthal hacked? Private citizen, I would not care? interesting.

Hillary Clinton supported the invasion of Iraq as did John Kerry and the leadership of the Democrat Party at that time. Then you have this clown Obama that fought the war for three years, called it a success, somehow managed to lose the war through incompetence and then reintroduced bombing and ground troops. His actions are reminiscence of what you would expect to see from Keystone Cops.

The Iraq War was lost when the pictures of Abu Grahib became Public. That put the lie to the fact that we were "liberating" Iraq. Anything after that was just damage control.

Obama has been a disaster of a President and Hillary Clinton was a hateful First Lady, do nothing Senator, and a corrupt lying incompetent Secretary of State.

You know what, for all your frothing, the fact is, Bush was the guy who fucked up everything. Your best argument against Obama is that he didn't fix what Bush screwed up fast enough.

Yeah well, things are different now. Different than Berger stuffing Natl Archive documents into pants and sneaking out of secure buildings...........yep. If it was private industry it would be labeled "Continuous Improvements" in mission statement. Improved systems/email. Pony express used to deliver secured but they don't.

Those two did not setup private email server. Private account is much different, another address routed thru govt equipment? probably?

Would you want NO investigations?

I would like to see us not try to use the legal system to accomplish what we can't accomplish at the ballot box.

This is kind of the curse of Watergate, where we think we are going to get the big fish by ruining the lives of a lot of little people.

Unless you have some outright, obvious proof of wrongdoing, like Hillary mailing our top secret stuff to Putin because he looks great without a shirt, trying to prove that she should have known that something someone cut and pasted onto page four of an e-mail chain would be declared classified three years after she left the job is kind of absurd.

There are a LOT of good reasons to not vote for Hillary. She isn't going to make a good faith effort to fix the ACA, she wants to support a lot of programs we really don't need and can't afford right now. And frankly, I'd be happy to have THAT discussion.

This is bullshit, and everyone engaging in it knows it's bullshit, and at the end of the day, she's going to be cleared of any wrongdoing.

My only concern is the TRUTH being known,

Unless some hacker starts posting to public, the Truth will never be known. They will hide it, whitewash it, dumb down charges, spin, stall and deny to the end of time. Particularity if she has info that could damage legacy of the chosen one. Maybe they leak just enough to cause public opinion to turn to Sanders?

Republicans bad. Democrats good. That's about the extent of your mind set, Joe. Hillary is a douchebag. Face the facts of life.

I look at Hillary as the "Least bad Alternative".

Sanders is a crackpot.
Cruz is a religious nut.
Trump is a reality TV rodeo Clown who terrifies his own party.
Rubio has Sheldon Adelson's hand so far up his ass, he'll get us into another pointless war in the MIddle East faster than you can Mazeltoff.

Unless you have some outright, obvious proof of wrongdoing,

She had a private server. Former SECT of defense (he is one of many) who says almost certainly hacked. What more do you need? She is not allowed to keep top secret off of secure system. She did. reckless disregard for rules. Rules are supposed to apply to all.

Her lawyer kept copies............that alone seems a violation? he is not govt employee.

give it up. She is dirty. Will they do anything about it? My guess is probably not.
