  • Dozens of Aryan Brotherhood of Texas (ABT) members and their associates have been collectively sentenced to nearly one thousand years in federal prison following a long-running investigation.

The gangsters - from generals to foot soldiers - and their 'friends' were convicted of a staggering 73 crimes linked to racketeering, including murder, kidnapping, assault, arson and drug trafficking.

Most were sentenced to life in prison - estimated at 30 years - with or without the possibility of parole. But some of the notorious white supremacist gang's members were jailed for just two years or less.

The mass sentencing followed a Houston-based Department of Justice probe, led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as well as the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations.

WHAT IS THE ARYAN BROTHERHOOD OF TEXAS (ABT)?
Founded in 1980, the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas adopts a white supremacist ideology.

It quickly rose to prominence as one of the most violent gangs in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - with a shocking 13 murders occurring in 1984-85 alone.

As white inmates sought ways to protect themselves from other inmates, the gang grew in number, spreading out of the prison system and on to the streets of Texas - and even beyond.

The gang is now considered so deadly that its convicted members in the Texas prison system are kept in segregation, in locked up cells, for around 23 hours a day to protect other prisoners and guards.

Most of them are going BACK to prison. The AB is a prison gang, and these idiots will just meld into whatever AB group is in the prison they end up in.

The AB are the least ideological of the neo-nazi groups, they are mostly common criminals that pick up the white supremacist stuff in prison as a survival mechanism.

But agreed, they are where they belong.

Since when is 73 crimes considered to be "staggering"? Presidential adviser Bill Ayers was guilty of hundreds of federal crimes including murder and domestic terrorism and he seems to be a left wing icon.

And yet the New Black Panthers have the backing of the administration and DOJ to continue business as usual. ......

First of all, bullshit. Second of all, considering teh charges against these aryan assholes, they got what they deserved.

Lets put any criminals away and leave them there.

First, take it up with the writer of the headline.

Second, he isn't a presidential adviser.

Third, please post a link to his conviction.
