Eagles (NFL) Literacy Program: Celebrity Demons

The gritty-scrappy underdog Philadelphia Eagles (NFL) take on the seemingly-indomitable New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52 [2018] today, and most sports-writers have the Patriots winning their whopping 6th Vince Lombardi trophy since 2000.

The underdog-quality of the Eagles makes them a great competitive sports marketing symbol of general social values, since inner-city programs in Philadelphia are designed to promote community spirit and ideals regarding optimistic views towards the American Dream.

So imagine that actress Margot Robbie and a mysterious film-agent of hers (who always wears a dark-green balaclava) show up at a movie press event today to promote youth-literacy programs in inner-city schools in Philadelphia in honor of the Eagles making it to Super Bowl 52.

It wouldn't really matter what the movie was that Robbie was promoting, since, of course, her newfound 'pro-literacy' celebrity-charity activity with her 'mysterious agent' has overshadowed her involvement with the movie she's promoting in the first place. That's the power of the camera/media --- to spontaneously create activity-oriented 'dollar prestige/intrigue.'

This parable is also meant to draw attention to inner-city youth-literacy programs!

====

Margot and her agent 'Sam' were at the premiere of Robbie's new Nigerian film Understanding Trees, which she was complementing with her inner-city youth-literacy awareness activity (since her film was about eco-pollution consciousness). Robbie wore a dark-emerald green dress to promote her new Poison Ivy (DC Comics) upcoming eco-terrorism film (Poison Ivy is a female eco-terrorist who always wears green!) and brought copies of Ivy comics to talk about the value of literacy in modern society which is so focused on the arts. Robbie was promoting the Ivy-literacy idealism, since the underdog Philadelphia Eagles (NFL) were tackling the seemingly-indomitable New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52 [2018] that day.

Philadelphia is known for the signing of the Declaration of Independence and for its rich pluralistic Dutch-colonial descended urban culture, but it is also an American city fraught with natural traffic and commerce-related problems, requiring citizens to pay special attention to the 'human needs' of civilization development which arise from the 'problems' of overpopulation, poverty, and unemployment. The green-colored Eagles jerseys and the team's American Bald Eagle mascot (also the national patriot-animal!) made the team a nice 'society symbol' of aesthetics-driven society-values 'consciousness.' If the Patriots were 'gung-ho cheerleaders,' then the Eagles were the 'working-man's trumpet.'

Robbie was promoting inner-city ethnic minority youth-literacy programs for Philadelphia and her green emerald dress was a toast to both Poison Ivy and the Philadelphia Eagles during the Understanding Trees film premiere. Robbie's agent 'Sam' wondered if all this bombardment of celebrity-related 'press' and hysteria would benefit or destabilize Robbie's movie-society reputation, since of course, when celebrities got involved in social-outreach work, they drew criticism that they were merely using the camera-spotlight to exploit society's sensibilities regarding superficial humanitarian charity-related prestige. Nevertheless, Sam was thrilled the Eagles were getting much-needed attention, since no one in their right mind (celebrity or armchair-warrior!) would gamble on the team defeating the invincible Tom Brady and his 'Metal Machine' Patriots. What would the press say about celebrity-heroism?

I think I just now figured out why the OP consistently refers to "Eagles (NFL)" instead of simply "Eagles".

Years 'n' years ago I recall mentioning to a friend that I was going to watch the Eagles that afternoon. She actually thought I meant a music group. :rofl:
