One of the most tragic developments in American history has been the decline of economic freedom under Presidents Bush and Obama.

Index of Economic Freedom: Promoting Economic Opportunity and Prosperity by Country

In both indices, the US has fallen from the top 5 to under 10th since Obama's taken office. President Bush and especially President Obama have spent too much, taxed too much, and taken our liberties. Now, it's time for a change. The GOP now supports a balanced-budget amendment and the Ryan budget plan would help reverse our freefall in economic freedom. It's time for a change. We need to support real conservatives and libertarians who will support more economic freedom and less government intervention.

We need more people like Justin Amash, Thomas Massie, Rand Paul, and John Boozman in Congress who will fight against reckless spending and for more jobs.

In 2014, let's send career politicians and liberals a message: we're coming to take our government back.

The GOP now supports a balanced-budget amendment
They support it "now" because Ai liberal is president and the democrats control the senate. They know people respond to that type of rhetoric int he voting booth. Given the chance, they would accomplish no such thing as a balanced budget.

the Ryan budget plan would help reverse our freefall in economic freedom.
The same Paul Ryan that voted for bailouts like TARP? That Paul Ryan? You can't be serious.

We need to support real conservatives and libertarians who will support more economic freedom and less government intervention.
That's never going to happen.

With economic freedom comes government corruption. Who can forget the tragic 1890s, where unregulated business and freedom ultimately led to political machines corrupting our nation and denying jobs to selective members of society. We must curb this economic freedom in order to protect the core values of our government: voting, political participation, and an expanded marketplace of ideas. Economic freedom will simply corrupt our core democratic values.

:lmao:

That's logic on its head right there. Can you do a spin or two for us as well?

I'd imagine everyone since that isn't what happened at all. Must have been an interesting dream you had though.

We must curb this economic freedom in order to protect the core values of our government:
Spoken like a true Statist.

Economic freedom will simply corrupt our core democratic values.
Yeah, and New York State Palm trees produce excellent pineapples this time of year.

Paul Ryan's not perfect, but S&P explicitly stated that the US would not get downgraded if the Ryan budget passed. Our budget would be headed to balance if his plan passed, and Social Security and Medicare could remain solvent.

If you voted Republican in the last 40 years it's your fault.

Amash, Massie, Paul, and Booz-man are nothing more than Koch Whores.

And the Ds put forward Pelosi and Reid because lunatics certifiable they may be but they don't act out as much as the average D.
