BREAKING: Reports of active shooter at high school near Portland | Q13 FOX News

PORTLAND — There were multiple reports of an active shooter around 8:30 a.m. at a high school in Troutdale, Oregon.

According to the Columbian Newspaper, area police requested assistance from Clark County Washington sheriff’s deputies at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Ore. to respond to calls of a possible shooting.

The licensing that I have heard discussed can involve delaying the sale; that is the license would not be purchased from the gun dealer. Any delay in sales will result in a reduction in sales because people often have second thoughts.

I suppose that can be. However, licensing can also be a way to insure gun owners are trained in the safe handling of their weapons, and a way to keep guns out of the hands of convicted felons and people that are mentally unstable and to provide a database of gun owners so police can determine who owns a gun used in a crime, or to return guns lost, stolen, or taken by the police in the commission of a crime. It all depends on the law.
