....and recognizing not to believe the Democrats, and especially the lying snake in the White House.

Here's "Rolling Stone" calling bs on Obama...

1. "Something About This Russia Story Stinks
....the American press is again asked to co-sign a dubious intelligence assessment

2. ....Obama administration announced a series of sanctions against Russia. Thirty-five Russian nationals will be expelled from the country.

3. President Obama issued a terse statement seeming to blame Russia

4. The New York Times was more aggressive, writing flatly, "Obama Strikes Back at Russia for Election Hacking." It backed up its story with a link to a joint FBI/Homeland Security report that details how Russian civilian and military intelligence services (termed "RIS" in the report) twice breached the defenses of "a U.S. political party," presumably the Democrats.

5. This dramatic story puts the news media in a jackpot. Absent independent verification, reporters will have to rely upon the secret assessments of intelligence agencies to cover the story at all....news agencies seemed split on whether to unequivocally declare that Russian hacking took place, or whether to hedge bets and put it all on the government to make that declaration, using "Obama says" formulations.

6. ...[the FBI/Homeland Security] report is long on jargon but short on specifics. More than half of it is just a list of suggestions for preventive measures.

7. ....we don't learn much at all about what led our government to determine a) that these hacks were directed by the Russian government, or b) they were undertaken with the aim of influencing the election, and in particular to help elect Donald Trump.

8. If the American security agencies had smoking-gun evidence that the Russians had an organized campaign to derail the U.S. presidential election and deliver the White House to Trump, then expelling a few dozen diplomats after the election seems like an oddly weak and ill-timed response. Voices in both parties are saying this now." Taibbi: Something About This Russia Story Stinks

But don't worry....the stupidest among us will continue to believe the malicious, incompetent, dirt-eating low-life back-stabbing crypto-Islamist snake in the White House...

....won't you, Liberals?

Matt? Mike's kid (Taibbi)? He lived in Russia for a while. Probably drank far too much rotten Vodka.

"Many reporters I know are..." Really? Many? Many that he knows?

"We all remember the WMD fiasco." "It's déjà vu all over again" is how one friend put it.
"Nothing quite adds up"

It all adds up. There were reports of Russian hacking a long time ago. Unlike the WMD fiasco, there is not a section of the intel community saying the intel is being massaged.

Why do people like you the OP want to side with the Russians? Do you hate an American President that much?

Sad. Rally Sad

There's no "siding" at all.

There is not a smidgen of proof of Russian influencing this election any more than there is a smidgen of Obama's either competence or honesty.

But....plenty of evidence that you are a dunce.

"The Washington Post reported Friday that the U.S. power grid had been hacked by the same Russian actors accused of breaching the DNC – the only problem, the grid wasn’t hacked.

According to the report, malicious “code” associated with Grizzly Steppe, the name given to Russian hacking operations by the Obama administration, was found within the system of a utility company in Virginia.

No evidence at this time connects the malware to Russia or any recent hacking campaigns.
Soon after publication of the Post’s story, it was revealed that the malware had only infected a utility company laptop that had no access whatsoever to the electrical grid.

Now THAT is crazy talk

:cuckoo:

All of America's intel agencies say differently

What will you do when the goofball Donald admits it;s true?

And you are enough of a simpleton to believe that.

"What The Russian Hacking Report DOESN’T Say

Today, the Department of Homeland Security and FBI released a report alleging Russian hacking.
It’s important to note what the report does NOT say …
It does NOT allege any of the following:
 It doesn’t claim that it’s accurate.

weasel words – “as is”, “does not provide any warranties of any kind regarding any information” –

 It doesn’t mention Wikileaks … not even once. In other words, the report does not allege that the Russians gave any Democratic Party or Podesta emails to Wikileaks
 It doesn’t address the fact that the NSA possesses records showing exactly how the emails went from the Democratic Party to Wikileaks, as it tracks all electronic communications in the U.S.
 It doesn’t address the fact that Russia would not have used widely known hacking methods (and wouldn’t have paid tribute within the code to a famous Russian intelligence officer), and that anyone could have copied these methods and names
 It doesn’t address the fact that top former NSA and CIA officials (and Wikileaks) says that these were not hacks at all … but rather leaks by American insiders
 It doesn’t address American intelligence services’ less-than-stellar history of truthfulness, and routinely skew intelligence to justify preordained policy outcomes
 It doesn’t address the fact that – according to the Los Angeles Times – the U.S. interfered in foreign elections 81 times between 1946 and 2000 … compared to only 36 times by the Ruskies
 It doesn’t address the fact that most Americans aren’t buying the whole claim that the Russians hacked our election
In other words, the report really doesn’t say much of anything …"

When John Roberts was being confirmed to the Supreme Court, he was asked if in cases he would side with the little guy, or the big guy. Roberts answered that he would side with the Constitution, and if the Constitution said the Little Guy was right, that is who he would side with, but that if the same law said the big guy was right, that is who he would side with.

I liked that answer. I've lived by a similar principle for pretty much all my life. I side with the truth. If the truth is that my country is wrong, Patriotism doesn't mean I march in lock step with the nation. Patriotism means I support the principles. It's just a little too perfect don't you think? The same CIA who got the names from Russia of the Boston Bombers and couldn't overcome a typo to identify the baddies before dozens were hurt and killed is able to confirm that Putin knew and ordered it?

One of the things about me is that I have a pretty good memory. I remember a news story from a few years ago.

Kremlin security agency to buy typewriters 'to avoid leaks' - BBC News

You see, after Snowden blew the whistle and let everyone know what we were doing, and capable of doing, a lot of countries went back to low tech solutions that couldn't be intercepted and decrypted. You can't intercept a letter that never travels electronically. You can't hack a file that exists only on paper. Any briefing that Putin would have gotten would have been verbal, or on paper. No electronics. Putin is an old KGB guy, and has spent his life suspecting everyone of being a spy for America.

So unless we have an agent in place in the inner circle of Putin, the chances that we could learn definitively that Putin ordered it is pretty slim.

Do you see where this is going? Then there is the usual disclaimer. We do not state that anything is factual or certain in the document disclaimer that is attached to all the CIA documents.

When I was in the Army, the joke we told about Intelligence people was this. Their motto is "We bet your life".

Why do you side with obama that imports terrorism, which actually kills people over an "aledge" hack job.
You and merkel and obama should rent a room

There is a chance Obama and the loons manufactured a "trumped up" report to de-legitimize the true winner of the 2016 election. 17 agencies? sure. make it iron-clad.
This also could be an attempt to show Beast and all DEMS were cheated. To imply, they were actually the "winning" ticket if not cheated! Cannot let this stand!

This could lead to calls for even more civil un-rest at urging of the DEMS (like OWS or BLM or Code Pink) to be set in motion over and over, forcing Trump to deal with it.

This could be a attempt to make Trump look bad? He will have to fight off constant barrage of intentional "enemy within" attacks on America. Not like they have not done it before? Dems have no honor, dignity, or honesty. Look at Reid for one example.

Could never be Beast was lazy, did not do events, no one likes her, top-secret violations, Clinton foundation sleaze, dead bodies...........can I stop now?

This is why I don't wish to just "go along" with some "report" that says Podesta logged in and they stole his password and copied his PC......leading to Lord knows what (beast server).

The same agency's who claimed there were WMD's in Iraq. With a record like that I would think a supposedly smart person like you claim to be would take a closer look at what they are reporting. Clearly you're not as smart as you think you are.

It said there was no proof. Of course it's obvious. Pundits said the e-mails showed Hillary screwed Bernie, sold the State Dept and the Foundation, called Hispanics needy etc etc- FOR A YEAR. All bs.
