In the early 1900's a group of writers began to write about polticial corruption, corporate corruption and injustices in America; Teddy Roosevelt called them muckrakers. The muckrakers, however, changed American; some of our laws today, such as the pure food and meat act go back to their writings. The last use of the muckraking term applied to a person that I know of, was with Edward R. Murrow. Was this taping of Romney's speech an example of muckraking, exposing something to the American people that changed our history? I doubt it, but perhaps we should have a Muckraker of the Year award and he would merit that?

Oh if I live to 100 I won't forget that bastard and Ryan's plan to cut tax rates when he's got hidden accounts in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands and paid 14% to the IRS on earnings of $14 million in taxable year 2011. After he paid his taxes he cleared a million dollars a month.

Here...in a state of about ten million the average income for a family of four is about $46,000 a year.....some counties less than $30,000. If they can get a flat tax the average worker in this country would end up adding more taxes to the 30%-40% they're already paying in payroll taxes, state income taxes, sales taxes, gasoline taxes, federal excise taxes, fees on every service they have in their homes like cable, phone, electric, water, gas etc.

The Republicans are so greedy that they've become blind to their agenda. They just keep cutting their own throats even after losing the popular vote in five of the last six presidential elections. Instead of addressing their differences with the American people there are no less than five Republican governors who are working on legislation involving gerrymandering which would make it possible to win presidential elections in certain states even if the popular vote goes to Democrats. They're brazen crooks and brazen liars and they appear to have no shame.

Ronald Reagan was a Democrat and the president of a union till his B movies began to make some serious money. Then he went forward with a new agenda.....cut tax rates. He slashed tax rates on the wealthy to levels where they hadn't been for more than forty years, never cut his spending a dime and borrowed trillions from foreign banks to cover the shortfall.
