There are "executive orders" and there are executive orders. Harry Truman sent Troops to Korea on an executive order. Under his negligent "leadership" the US lost 50,000 Troops in three years and ended up where they started. Bill Clinton didn't have the authority to use American bombers to cripple a defenseless country in Europe but the media supported his executive order to kill Europeans during a relative time of peace.

For instance...Presidents issue Executive Orders to do things as mundane as change the name of a Federal building or highway. THAT counts as an "Executive Order"! Is that an infringement on the power of Congress or the separation of powers? Hardly! The bulk of previous President's Executive Orders involved simple things like that...they DID NOT do end runs around Congress and impose new US policy on things like immigration and pollution control.

Barack Obama is abusing his Executive Order power. He's unwilling to work with Congress and has decided to simply rule by Executive Order. It's a blatant violation of the Constitution and Barack Obama KNOWS IT!
