‘Explosive documents’ connect Christie, bridge scandal

And when it came out that they'd done this and lied, they were fired by Christie. Maybe if Obama had shown that sort of leadership, all the things you think of as being fake scandals wouldn't have grown into scandals.

(oh, and your "Christie scandal" is just hyperventilating on your part. It's not a true scandal. You're just being partisan.)

We'll see how it plays out.

Right now? There's a crap load of civil suits being opened along with some state investigations.

In Christie's favor, the family of the 91 year old woman who died doesn't blame him.

That's a pretty big bullet he dodged.

Every single municipality will try to quash any lawsuit based on traffic. It would be a nightmare, as every pothole crew out would cause a flurry of lawsuits.

This wasn't a pothole crew.

This was a specific political punishment.

That's already been established.

Why such effusive praise for Christie firing these people?

Their emails convicted them. Firing them at that point was easy.

Because Obama would have promoted them as the bulk of the media looked the other way.

Who did Obama ever promote after emails emerged that for all practical purposes convicted them of grievous wrongdoing?

Ignorant ****....

How about Susan Rice for starters.

What a bitch you are. And stupid.

On the afternoon of August 12, 2013 at a hastily called press conference, Chris Christie angrily called New Jersey Senate Democrats "animals" for blocking his reappointment of a Republican Supreme Court Justice.

The next morning at 7:34 am, Christie's deputy chief of staff emails Christie's Port Authority appointee that "It is time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee."

The head of the Senate Democrats is Loretta Weinberg, who represents the city of Fort Lee.

The reason for the blocking of the bridge traffic was not the lack of an endorsement from Fort Lee's mayor, but the New Jersey Senate Democrats blocking of Christie's appointee to the New Jersey Supreme Court.

This makes sense as well. It needs to be looked into thoroughly!!!

Christie did give a good performance, I'll give him that. He took on the questions for a marathon run, and that is part of his charm. As to his involvement, I've come to the conclusion, he is in the thick of it.

There's just no way the aide had that kind of authority to give that order to Wildstein.

Maddow last night posited an alternate theory that colors the vendetta from not a retaliation for non-endorsement, but for another imbroglio regarding some rather stunning moves Christie made with Supreme Court justices -- and the NJ Senate president - who represents: Fort Lee.

Her name is Loretta Weinberg, and in 2011, Christie urged reporters to "take a bat to" her.

Anyway, for some bizarre reason, for the first time in NJ history, Christie canned one of the SC Justices in 2010 - []- NJ.com.

It really incensed the dems. So they refused to confirm his next pick. And then his next pick, and his next...Fire was going on regarding this SC battle.

Well, it appears, on Aug 12, 2012 (remember that date) -- was the last straw, when Christie removed from renomination another Supreme Court justice (Helen Hoens) (who is married to a Christie staffer). This is a woman he liked, but he was so mad at Senate Democrats - he canned her. That afternoon he gave the stunning news and late in the day, pulled together a huffy press conference and said:

"I was not going to let her loose to the animals." Yes, Christie called the Senate Democrats animals. He also added: "What the ramifications would be for that going forward, [Senate Democrats] should have thought about before opening their mouths."

Now, go back to the date Bridget gave the "Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee" order.

That would be the very.next.morning. August 13th. Before 8AM.

Plausible cause? As the saying goes: We report, you decide.

Now you are just taking the "cooked spaghetti" approach to this. You are basically throwing anything against the wall, and see if something sticks. Its a tactic worthy of the mouth breathers in the Conspiracy Theory Zone.

It's already "stuck".

This is just the beginning. These are Christie's people. He's in contact with them daily.

I'm sure that, though you were in contact with your parents every day as a teenager, that you had no problem lying to them and covering up certain activities you engaged in back then.

I liked the way Christie handed the unions their asses.

Other than that, he's just another bloviating New Jersey Bovine who talks Jersey tough but is really just another pussy with a loud voice..

You're comparing highly placed political operatives in the micromanaged office of one of the most popular governors in the country and one of the upcoming presidential candidates to children?

Seriously?

If the analogy is too complex for you to understand, then you might consider not commenting and showing your ignorance.

As you get older, you realize people are people. The same sense of awe that made you think doctors and parents were infallible as a child is something that happens as adults to some people when it comes to those in positions of authority. Being highly placed in government or any other organization does not make you immune to being a jerk.

and YOU think he micromanages (because it fits your agenda), all the evidence we have on that comes from people that don't like him.

Susan Rice was vindicated once the truth about Benghazi came out. Try again.

Looks like the Reubs have just handed 2016 to HRC,

LMAO! HRC isn't even going to be the candidate, much less win the presidency. Brian Schweitzer setting up to hand her ass to her in 2015.

I guess your stunned silence will suffice as an answer.
