The F-15E can carry most weapons of any US fighter jet, such as Sidewinder missiles. There is also a 6-barreled M61A1-20 mm Gatling machine cannon with 500 rounds installed. Although it was an extremely successful design, the F-15 is no longer aerodynamically up to date.

Is the F-15 still in service?


This is based on the F-15QA. Test flights have been carried out since 2021. The F-15EX has not yet officially entered service. The US Air Force plans to procure up to 104 of these fighters to replace aging F-15 variants and F-22s.
