Actually, Halachic law. There is no such thing as Hasidic law.
No religious laws override constitutional law...
but there are many religious fundamentalists who wished it would....and they are not just the moooooooosssllliiimmmsss
In cases of civil disputes, religious courts are given jurisdiction over the communities they represent. Not the case with criminal law.
