He doesn't even say in there he was actively investigating Burisma. He says he was "leading" the investigation. That's true, he was in charge of it. He just wasn't doing anything with it. Again, in 2014, he stonewalled the UK investigation until they had to drop their case. In 2015, he made no progress on the case. The investigation opened to review his appeal for getting thrown out determined the Burisma investigation had been "dormant."

You've been shown the Burisma investigation was dormant when Biden got Shokin sacked. You've been shown Shokin himself later admitted that that he was planning on investigating Burisma and Hunter, i.e., not actively investigating, when he got sacked.

They probably want to see if any such nefarious activities could have set the stage (whether actually or indirectly), that caused mistrust that ultimately lit the fuse for the Ukraine/Russia war, otherwise a war that ultimately materialized into a major war in 2022(?).

THE WHISTLE BLOWER, the informat passing on what he HEARD, said he did not know the veracity of the story he was told by this Burisma guy.

Which of course is laughable since firing Shokin was not Joe's stance but every ally, the EU, IMF, World Bank and Obama/USA policy stance, because Shokin would NOT investigate corruption among Oligarchs like the Burisma guy, because Shokin and his prosecutors were being paid off by these crooks NOT to....turn a blind eye.
