Republicans had ample opportunity during the primary to nominate anyone else but Trump – Haley being their best option.

As private entities, political parties have the right to nominate presidential candidates as they see fit in any manner they desire – including replacing Trump although the nomination process has concluded.

But Trump’s stranglehold on the GOP makes that virtually impossible, the Trump Cult would never allow that to happen.
